1599 Geneva Bible (Black Leather)
This is the version of the Bible that the Pilmgrims brought with them to America in 1620! Dated before the King James Version of the Bible, it's notes were very influential in the lives of Shakespeare, Oliver Cromwell, William Bradford and many others. A little known fact is that it was the first translation to use numbered chapters and verses to aid in the group study of stripture. The footnotes of this translation were also what inspired King James to commission a new verstion to be written without the use of the work "tyrrant" anywhere to be found!
Whether this version of the Bible is intriguing to you as an historical document or as a study Bible, our family feels certain that you will be blessed by adding it to your collection of Bible translations!
